Model4Miracles and Miss Miracle 2018
Okay, I’m completely biased – I can’t help it! I used to say it was my baby, but it has grown so much I can’t believe it’s going to be our 10th anniversary. Our family and friends dedicate so much time and energy to Model4Miracles and Miss Miracle because we love everything it has to offer. In fact, I’ve made a specific list of every reason why you should take part in our event June 16 and 17!
Model4Miracles
- For a $100 donation, you get to be a supermodel for a day. We provide hair and make-up services, the designer outfit for the day, a model runway workshop, an agency casting call, photos from the fashion show, and much more thanks to our amazing volunteers and sponsors. Personally, I think it’s a great value for everything you get for the day.
- All of the money goes to Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The entire purpose of the event is to raise money for the kids in the hospital. Over the last nine years, we’ve raised over $106,000 and we’re really hoping to grow our total for the tenth anniversary. These funds go to building the play area, emergency vehicles, and so much more.
- The kids from Children’s Miracle Network are THERE. As our Miracle Supermodels. Every year, we have ten kids from the hospital model on the runway. Last year they even had a limo ride and walked the red carpet before hit the stage. We crown and award them as our Miracle Supermodels. Their families share their personal stories of how they overcame obstacles and how our donations helped these kids and their families so much. If you want to crown and walk them on stage please let me know!
EVERYONE and anyone can model. It doesn’t matter your height, age, experience, size, shape, or anything. We only want you to support the cause and donate to Children’s Miracle Network. You are beautiful just the way you are and don’t need to look a certain way or follow a certain standard to be in Model4Miracles, and in the entertainment industry as a whole. I love seeing people come in for the first time and gain a newfound sense of confidence.- Use it as a great networking opportunity. I believe the saying goes, your network is your net worth? Last year, we had around 90 models from all over Florida and even outside the state. As a model, you can use this opportunity to network with different agents, designers, photographers, hair and make-up artists, etc. And if you have a business in the pageant industry, as a coach, director, etc., I can bet my bottom dollar you can find some great potential clients for your next pageant.
Miss Miracle
- Everyone wins the opportunity to represent Miracle in other pageant systems. We’ve been very fortunate to have multiple state and national pageants sponsor entry fees for all of our Miracle contestants. Although we select one Miss Miracle in each age division, every contestant will receive an entry paid to a selected pageant in Florida. Most pageant entry fees range from $350-$400, so the $150 donation has a great value (and is tax deductible!)
- This is a great pageant for practice or as a first timer. It is a one day event with minimal requirements (Introduction, Outfit of Choice, Evening Wear). It’s June 17, right before all the big state and national summer pageants so it can be good for practice. And as a first timer, it’s less stress because it’s a charity event and can open you to new pageant opportunities.
- It’s the day after Model4Miracles. Seriously, how convenient! And the host hotel is fantastic, super close to Disney Springs (one of my favorite spots in Orlando), complimentary breakfast and parking, and we get a $115 Miracle Rate for 2 queen beds and a sofa, so you can bring the whole family! Overall, I want you to get involved so we can continue to raise more funds for Children’s Miracle Network. This event grows so much year after year and as a fashion show modeling event that also brings the kids from Children’s Miracle Network, I believe it’s an event like no other and I’m so proud of it.
